Paul Nelson, the Corvette's first owner in Australia, replaced all the carpet in the car in 2014. The replacement carpet set was purchased from Corvette Central.
The images below show the condition of the fiberglass with all the carpet removed. The brown marks are the glue from the old carpet.
Note: the first image shows the extractor fan fitted to the cabin of the 65 Corvette. This was a 65-only feature that was intended the extract hot air from the cabin via the vent in the rear wheel arch. It proved to be ineffective, and was dropped for the 66 model year.
