Correspondence between Mike DiCola and Gary Batson (Part 4)

When Mike DiCola was looking to sell the Corvette in 2000 he corresponded with several interested buyers. The following text is part 4 of a series of emails sent to Gary Batson, the person who ultimately purchased the car from Mike.

Hello Gary, glad you like the car, it truly is one of those rare finds.

…. I'm sure you will have lots of fun this summer showing it off…. for all the originality stuff from what I was told and from what I saw.

Original. Carpet, 90% of the paint, engine has never been out of the car. Original engine, trans, rear end, valve covers, heads, exhaust manifolds, dash.

Rebuilt or replaced……carb replaced in the 90's, clutch replaced in the late 80's, trans rebuilt in the 90's, brake calipers redone in the late 80's, seats redone in leather in the early 80's.

That's pretty much all I know of the car.

Thanks. and glad you like the Vette

Mike
