DeWitts™ Direct Fit Corvette aluminum radiators are designed to fit into the factory mounting, without any modifications. They feature an 18" core, factory type upper channels, stock hose connections, and press formed tanks.
Direct Fit radiators are completely manufactured and assembled in the United States. Each Direct Fit Corvette radiator begins life as an aluminum core with two 1" wide cooling tubes. This configuration more than doubles the cooling capacity by increasing the "tube to fin" contact area over replacement 4-row copper radiator. This can only be achieved with an aluminum radiator since the aluminum material does not dramatically affect the radiators weight.
While its BTU rating (4100) is less than the original, it is still 25% better than the copper replacement radiators. Tanks are press formed and inlet/outlets are correctly configured for a drop-in installation. Each core is then brazed in a controlled atmosphere furnace; which eliminates the need for epoxy, ensuring leak free, and trouble free service. Direct Fit radiators include GM style top-hat channel and factory style tanks for a radiator that looks OEM.
